The resources available for prebuilt block patterns is growing constantly. These prebuilt solutions give you a quick set of go to tools to build out your pages. Sometimes though the available block patterns do not fit your exact content needs and you need to create your own block pattern.

There are a few ways of doing this and over the next series of posts we’re going to dive into those. As we did with creating a block we’re going to look at plugin solutions to building block patters, but also how to custom build them in your plugin or theme. While on the subject we will also cover reusable blocks, which is very similar to block patterns.
