Good Friday. The day Jesus Christ would be crucified and die. Romans 5:8 tells us
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 CSB
The idea that Jesus willingly took on the punishment of our sins, and loved us to the point that he would die for us is almost unimaginable. It’s a love beyond what any person before or since is capable of doing. In a sense the Friday of Jesus’ death is the darkest day in the history of the world, but it is good because it was the day that Jesus redemptive work was finished.
This YouTube clip is from the preacher, S.M. Lockridge, and one of my favorite messages about Good Friday, and the resurrection that would follow.
